Le premier jour de "class"
I hope that my French skills are impressing you because sometimes they really impress me!
Today we started class; 3 heures de francais...ouch. There are huit (8) etudiantes in my class and the teacher is very nice. We started out by learning how to say have (avoir) and be (etre) and then we had to introduce ourselves using that. Then we learned tons of verbs that end in ER since those are the eqsy regular verbs. My homework is to make a list of all the French words we know...whoa (it won't take me too long!).
Everything is going awesome; yesterday we went to the Monoprix (like Target) and then to the beach! Today after class and lunch we went to La Poste (post office) and the library where we got member cards for 1 euro and can use the internet whenever we want gratuit (free!!!)
This weekend we're going to be going to St Tropez by boat which should be pretty sweet. The best part is that it is offered by the International College but is being paid for by my tuition so it's like it's gratuit!!! The international school offers a lot of trips to really cool places and some of them are included in tuition. Also CSB/SJU have some of their own trips (Paris, Nice, Marseilles, etc).
I'm starting to get the hang of this different keyboard (m, a, w, x, q, z and many punctuation marks) are in different places so it takes awhile to type anything.
Hopefully, now that we can come here for free I'll have the time to write more on here. Although I'd rather spend time at the beach (across the street from the school!) which is where I'm headed now...au revoir!
